A full garden makeover, built to be easy to live with
The customer wanted their tired garden renovated and kept low maintenance. We visited, talked through a few options together, and settled on a new patio, new landscaping and half of the fencing at the back of the garden replaced.

- Job type
- Full garden makeover: patio, landscaping and fencing

What was there before
An older paved area, a tired lawn and a raised planter bed, with the rear boundary fence past its best. Nothing about it invited you to sit outside, and keeping it tidy was more work than the customer wanted to keep doing.
What we did
We agreed the layout on site and worked to one plan: take up the old paving, replace it with a clean patio and set the new levels, bring the planting and lawn areas back into a shape that is easy to keep, and replace the failing fencing across the back of the garden so the boundary is solid again.
The result is a garden that needs far less of the customer's time than it used to, and, as they put it themselves, one that is ready for people to come round.
The full job specification (patio area in square metres, the paving and bedding materials, drainage detail and the number of days on site) is being written up for this job. Ask us and we will happily talk you through exactly what went into it.
Working in Hoo and Around the Peninsula
Hoo sits on the Hoo Peninsula in the ME3 postcode, a few miles from our base in Chatham. Gardens out this way are mostly long and narrow, and the ground is often heavy clay, so getting levels and drainage right at the start is what decides whether a garden is still easy to live with in five years' time.
We work across Hoo, High Halstow, Cliffe, Chattenden, Wainscott and the rest of the peninsula, alongside the wider Medway and Swale area. Hoo is one of our closest villages, so a free site visit is normally arranged within a few days.
